I rescued a 1968 Austin 1100 2 door with the daft Mini speedo in the square nacelle - I spent an afternoon converting it to the proper 1100 dash and strip speedo.

I am trying to do something with the speedo cable arrangement on my Elf. I have bought an “1100 upper cable” but can’t find any means of connecting to a “lower cable” it there a part to go between the two? My upper is just a plain outer at the bottom end, with a squared end on the inner.
