Now then!

That has complicated things somewhat. . . . . . .

Doune have just announced a 'classic' event on the same weekend if anyone fancies making a longer weekend of it. Trip to Doune on Saturday, run on Sunday?

If you've never been to Doune, have a look on youtube - it's king of the hills.

Don't suppose you can do the run nearer Doune?

I did think about that, but it's a bit further north for the soft southerners, and it means a lot more work, and I'm quite lazy.

Now, get on with my moke, and less of yer nonsense.

Just heard from the Tontine, there had been a bit of communication problems it seems, as the girl I dealt with last year had left.

Anyway, they do still have rooms available for the Sat 23rd and Sun 24th, and can do a dinner on the Saturday as last year.

BUT.... They have a couple of group bookings in already (there is a mountain bike festival on that week) so ask that anyone wanting a room book it ASAP.

http://www.tontinehotel.com

(Tim, I've asked her to earmark the accessible room for you, on the assumption that you'll be coming, but if you're not I'll let her know)

Hope everyone who came last year is up for a re-run, and a few others can make it as well.

If Robb can run in his supercharged car on the way from Edinburgh to Goodwood, you've no excuses!

Al

P.S. Kev, crack on, Lad! 8-)

The Forster's will be booking 2 rooms as last year.

For anyone in any doubt, this is a really great social weekend that really shouldn't be missed.

I would urge anyone considering joining in to get booked as soon as possible.

We are booked!

They said that there are only a few rooms left, so I would recommend that anyone interested books asap.

If they do run out of rooms there are plenty other options within and around Peebles and folks can still join us for dinner, but it would be good if we can have a few more joining us.

I know Kev has his Riley run during the day on the Saturday Up north, and I hope Nigel (Carbon), Ben (The farmer) and Simon will be coming as well, though not likely needing rooms.

That's me booked in the Tontine on Sunday night. Can't make the Saturday evening meal. Hopefully a few stragglers will be there on Sunday evening.
