I've always been an advocate of wet suspension, but for the current project it has to be dry.
I've got three or four wet 'frames but no dry ones, and it pains me to the core to beat the hydro ears out of the way to fit cones...

Question is, is it a crime to render a wet frame unusable for hydro now that there are less & less wet cars around ?

It should be possible to lever the ears back out again if you ever have to, but with another two spares I can’t image you ever wanting to.

Or you can just knock the steel rim of the doughnuts into an octagon shape to clear the ears like I did so converting back to wet could be done in an afternoon with no swearing.

One other option is to use coil springs as they fit right in. If I can control the body till it might ease my conscience.

Having said that, it can’t bd that difficult to put dings in the sides of the competition vibes to clear the ears.
