Hi,
Any recommendations on a good/easy to use courier? got both sections of a rear seat to post, presume i have to wrap it all up and then measure it to get a quote? Any advice on a good one to use appreciated.

Parcel 2 go
Really easy to use plus you get prices from all the big couriers cheaper than going direct .
UPS wanted best part of 50 quid to carry 24kg of disc brakes where as parcel 2 go done it for 23 using UPS.
Also good for sending abroad :D

Hermes/yodel are cheap for a reason. Best pick one of the more well known carriers.

There's usually a size limit with all these couriers, and I doubt the seats would comply. I use good old Parcelforce for big stuff.

Personally I have not had any problems with Hermes and have used them for almost all oversize or overweight parcels.

However, others will have had different experiences.

I've found that you MUST send parcels via recorded delivery with the Royal Mail because otherwise they WILL either go missing or take yonks to get there.

UPS also get a hard time on the 'net if you look but I've had no issues.

Sending with Hermes is not the problem, it is receiving stuff from them.

I always use Royal Mail or Parcel Force for big stuff.

The biggest hassle i find with sending stuff with couriors is getting them to collect it from you, as their nearest depot always seems to be miles away. Nowerdays i take everything to the local village post office, from big bits like subframes and doors to the tiny stuff. I think it was only £28 to post a rear subframe by parcelforce.
