This interesting Mk1 is up for grabs again, I'll have a good look at it at the NEC show next week... Mk2 lights and a '74 registartion...

That's been offered quite a few times at various action houses. Is it having trouble finding a new keeper or is it just not reaching the optomistic reserve.

Stuart, I think the optomistic reserve is the problem. It is a nice wee genuine car. If it has a Cooper S engine in it easely worth £12 to £14k. The red early Mk1 Mini in the same sale from over here I've seen at Kilbroney. It is very nice indeed but again priced high with the reserve :)

I fear that may become a donor for something a bit more upmarket because £8,000 is cheap when compared to a new Heritage shell.

That's what I was thinking Stu. Col Taylor down at Southam has an almost identical one on an E plate, I think he had a fair bit of grief with the auto box.
