That is a very nice CUD gear knob with an original Cooper centre badge.

http://mk1-performance-conversions.co.uk/page153.html

Rare & nice, but I stopped buying them when the price went above £20

It's amazing how many small firms there were making stuff like this in the midlands back then, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and the whole West Mids area seemed to be crawling with workshops and factories churning out accessories. Looking through old magazine ads for these companies and noticing the adresses I've often found myself driving past their old premises (or the site of) when working in and around Birmingham and Walsall.

Has the ‘67 Cooper in France been posted yet? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-1967-ORIGINAL-MK1-MINI-COOPER/223382041748?hash=item34029b7494:g:z0MAAOSwF5VcVzSc

It looks like a decent car although getting it back could be a trek.

To prevent you from accidentally putting him in reverse while racing :!:
You pull the lever towards you, so he can not be put in his reverse :P
