Re: Morris FIA Race Car
Etienne, did you have a good night?!
No it's not a Lucas, it's a Tecalemit, but as far as I know they have some problems setting up the injection system.
If anybody has some information on how to tune that and would like to share them, that would be great. I would like to forward them to Juergen who did the rebuild of that car/engine.

Re: Morris FIA Race Car
Very interesting view of the engine management, especially pulse pump.
The engine doesn't suffered from overheating ? (fan blade..)

The setup above is "TJ" Tacalemit Jackson, lots of details on the main MK1 site.

I wouldn't have used unvented 'oversills' though , they just fill up with water and rot out. Amazing how many do still use them

But it's a race car, so I would like to fix the roll cage to the floor and the bottom box for the rigidity.

Fair comment.
By the way talking of sills the worst case I saw of premature rot was on a really nice car that had been sandblasted and the sill sections were left filled to the top with (wet) grit. The new sills took less than three years to rot through.

No problemo, just drill a 8 mm hole, in bottom of each of the squares.mehariman1 wrote:I totally agree whith you. An other people say me the same.Surf 1275 wrote:I wouldn't have used unvented 'oversills' though , they just fill up with water and rot out. Amazing how many do still use them

then water can get out, and more important, you can spray some thin penetrating rust preventing oil inthere and use one of these long "thingies" with a "shower" effect

Nice way to make room for the rollcage & looks like a very good & safe cage you are doing there

Odd looking cage
Have you tried fitting a bucket seat in yet? Looks like it could be a tight fit against the shoulder of the seat.
