Aah yes, I'd missed the fact that they are light green and purple and light green. Dark green and purple is for brake lights.

Thanks guys for all of your help.
Mark - you answered my question about the harness (cooper vs s), thank you for confirming that.
My next stupid question was also answered (it was about whether or not I needed the voltage regulator) - thanks for that!

Mark, I think I finally have the harness in the right location (see pics). :)

I wanted going to ask what the small little fuse box controls. There is a brown wire, a white wire & a double white that are close to it.

Does anyone know what the purple wire on the back harness goes to, it pokes through the fire wall (if it is supposed to)?

There is another purple wire attached to the rear loom, is that for a courtesy light?

The diagram I have is for a 850 Mini, I will download the one for the cooper - thanks for the advise.

If this is correct, I can now extend my wires around my Weber box to get inside.

Thanks again for all of the help! I know some of these questions are kinda silly

The only purple in the loom should be the feed from the fuse box to the int light with the purple/white being the grounds to the door switches.
Richspec the red goes to terminal 7 on the light switch and the red/white to the ignition switch.

This is as good as I can do off the top of my head, a few loose ends, but the main groups have been indicated.

Hope this helps,

M

heres the bit where it goes through the bulkhead normally, one of the things I haven't sussed yet is the red cable shown, I'm thinking heater??

Those red wires go to the little switch that fits into the hole on the black oval speedo binnacle to turn the instrument lights on and off. (this applies to the S loom and I guess others that have that little switch)

Hope this helps as well

Thanks, I'll check that I've not missed any, I thought I had all the connections on the switches, obviously not! I'd worked out the red and white is all panel light related, I don't have the little switch in my later binnacle.

Dave - the wiring diagram will tell you which wires go to which terminals on the little fuse box, also the wires under your rear window - these are the ones for your fuelling, eg,sender, fuel pump etc.
You also mentioned the 'spare' purple and whites, I have them as well, there's a joiner block above the drivers door (on yours) and a trailing one that's between the hole in the 'a' pillar and where the loom passes through the bulkhead, I've just taped it up as not using door switches.

Guys Thank you so much.
Mark you made it real easy for me, Thanks.
Did not have to cut no wire's because of the weber box, I ended up running the loom the other side of the bulk head in side the car. :D
Thanks
