The last picture - what is that strange trike in the bottom right??dodge44 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 12:15 pm BMC scandinavian export drive in full swing at Grimsby Kings Dock in 1962. The photograph taken from under the canopy in April 1962 is clearly a train from Longbridge with a mix of Austin A40's, Mini Saloons and commercial vans in the consist. The other view taken a few months later in July 1962 would appear to feature a train from Oxford (First wagon labelled : Carflat, return to Morris, Oxford) as the load includes Morris Minis, Minors, an MG Midget (May be a AH Sprite) with a Morris Oxford in mid air as it is craned onto Norwegian registered MV LAGNÖ (Built 1953, Scrapped 1982). Austin Minis line the quayside in the foreground.

Re: Just a nice period picture
The second car on the Oxford train is a Morris Super - can't imagine many of those were exported to Norway. There is an OEW/Black car on the quayside.dodge44 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 12:15 pm The other view taken a few months later in July 1962 would appear to feature a train from Oxford (First wagon labelled : Carflat, return to Morris, Oxford) as the load includes Morris Minis, Minors, an MG Midget (May be a AH Sprite) with a Morris Oxford in mid air as it is craned onto Norwegian registered MV LAGNÖ (Built 1953, Scrapped 1982). The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.

They needed to be much more conspicuous if they were in the habit of double parking
Guess the AA had the upper hand here with their bright yellow livery.
