Estimate £27 to £33k & sold for £26.500 .. so is this the now going price for a Restored "S" in these days & times?

I suppose it depends on how well they have been "restored". That car is not what I would call a fully restored correct specification Mk1 Cooper S and the price it reached reflects that.

That would be an ideal stablemate for my Morris Mini Minor!

That Tozer clown!

However, the car itself looks decent enough and £26,000 is cheap for an S, even if it's a flat pack.

That's the thing, he's had some nice cars pass through his hands in the past, I came very close to buying a '66 Cooper from him about twenty years ago but walked away, then I saw it a few years later at Beaulieu and wished I'd actually bought it. At the same visit when I looked at the Cooper he had a red deseamed Mk1 Radford with Cibie headlights, I've always wondered what happened to it.

No that’s the going rate for a car hastily nailed together by Stevie Wonder with horrible panel fit and using shit parts like fake speedo faces.. He did exactly the same to MGJ 257D that he built from a logbook, not that I’m particularly offended or bothered by that, but what a fecking mess he made of that car and the poor disabled owner paid upfront and was gutted with the result.
