A Lucky Find

Post by surfblue63 »

Checking your local auction houses can sometimes turn up trumps. Listed as a windproof lighter, mouth organ and some car badges were these.

£30 plus fees and they were mine.

Speedwell badge looks to be an original, being the correct size and having the marking on the back.

And the Mk2 Austin centre is in good nick with a mystery Mk1 outer wheels boss. I guess it is either Les Leston or a Formula jobbie.

Nice find Stu. That's a very odd looking s/wheel boss though...

Excellent result Stu!

That's practically mint.

What a fantastic Honer Echo Luxe.

It plays good to, but it's slightly battered.

Maybe you can sell it to a Scotsman. They like stuff that's been battered.

I recently picked up a brand new Lucas headlight and bulb - it was on the shelf in the local air ambulance shop. Would never have guessed to look there either!

Bloody hell! How posh are you, a shop where they sell air ambulances!
