I have a blank AKD5000 passport to service, does anyone know when this would have been current ?. There are no print dates on it. Nor does it state the car model anywhere as do the more familiar service booklets. Is it a continuation booklet for use when the original is full ?.

There's one here on Ebay with a date of May 1969

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMC-PASSPORT ... :rk:2:pf:0

My guess these would have been issued in 1968 to 1969, part of the cost cutting measures of just issuing one style of book. Obviously towards the end of 1969 the branding changed to British Leyland.

If that's the case then it's suitable for my October 1969 Cooper, hopefully.

I used it, there are 2 more sheets, which the garage sent to the BLMC.
Page 9 is complete and not cut,in the final pocket, there is an additional guide, in this link there is a pdf that I created to try to make a copy.

Did a bit more digging and there is a page on the main web site. It confirms a date of 1968 for your example.

Cheers, I completely forgot about looking on the site, there's a lot of good information there. So this is a perfect match for my Cooper, result !

Except mine has the BMC logo on the front not the Leyland one. Still relevant though I guess.

The example above was used up to early 64.

There are, as has been mentioned, a few here:
