I realize it's to far to help but I have bought the reamers to bore the housings to accept .625 oil-lite bushings then run a .500 reamer through. I also bore the shifting eye and press a 6160 sleeve in place then hone to match the stickball. Also, I press a 1.00X.500x.250 grease seal in the front of the housing. I have found placing a hose clamp around the shifter retaining cup below the pins and tightening it reduces the play at the knob. So far flipping the shaft has worked but I need to order drill rod as some are to far gone on both ends. Steve (CTR)
PS have also machined the shifting eye to accept a spherical bearing which requires removing the ball and polishing the shaft in the ball area. I may have first seen that on this board.
