Rubber Cap for solenoid

Post by mk1 »

Looking for a replacement rubber cap for my solenoid.

I lost it somewhere between here & Goodwood.

Reluctant to buy a new solenoid to replace just the cap.

Thanks,

M

I need one also :)

fyi, the modern neck of the modern repro solenoids is wider than the original, so the later rubber won’t fit on an original Mk1 solenoid.

I found a couple of part numbers for the rubber cap: 760130 and 27H5576

760130 led me to the auctions & websites linked below.
https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Starter-Solenoi ... 2323194688

and for lower cost the item linked below (fine print says equivalent to 760130)
https://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/produ ... noid-cover

and
https://coventryautocomponents.co.uk/st ... ct_id=2248

27H5576 led me to the auctions & websites linked below.

Loved by the mice, don't think any of mine are free of teeth marks. They only like the genuine ones though, even they can tell the difference between genuine and repro rubbish!!!
