Forum rules

PLEASE NOTE! Postings in this section are deleted automatically after they have not been looked at for 30 days.

1) This section is for advertising items that you have for sale.

2) If you have items for sale on ebay, please post them in the appropriate section. This section is NOT for the advertisement of your ebay auctions.

3) If you have a number of items to sell, post them in a single ad marked "Multiple Parts" or similar. DO NOT post many individual advertisements as this forces everyone else's listings down the page.

4) It is expected that any items advertised on the forum are described fairly & honestly. It is the duty of the seller to ensure that this is the case.

5) Items listed for sale should wherever possible be offered with a purchase price, not asking for bids from members. If you wish to auction your item to the highest bidder I would suggest you use ebay & pay the associated fees.

6) If I consider any postings in this section to violate either the spirit or word of these simple requests I reserve the right to delete any posts without prior warning or explanation.

7) This section is offered as a free service to enthusiasts. Any deals made are between the buyer & seller only. The MK1 forum takes no part in any transaction & the appearance of any item in this section is not a recommendation. I strongly suggest that both buyers & sellers are happy to proceed with a deal before any money or goods change hands.

8) The advertising of or soliciting for VIN tags, log books or any other vehicle identification documentation without it's associated vehicle is expressly forbidden.

9) The posting of items for sale on the MK1 forum constitutes explicit acceptance of these simple rules.

(10) It is STRONGLY recommended that when paying with Paypal people DO NOT use the "Pay friends" service. This has no buyer protection & if there is an issue you will NOT be able to reclaim your lost money.

Hi all

Without a shadow of a doubt I will regret selling this but the new business project is up and running and its got to go .

Mk1 cooper shell (only) 1966 that's had every panel replaced with heritage and had the full Neville trickett sprint conversion done 2 years ago by the man himself . we all know the story and the rarity of theses , this will most probably be the only original project one to come up for sale in are lifetime . this will be worth more than any cooper s in years to come .

V5c correct and in my name , I wanted a white/black one because of the original and this is what it is . Heritage certificate to prove . I even wanted an original Dorset county car but settled for neighbouring Hampshire one .

Sprint ID plate showing the build number ( the buyer will only know this information )

Sprint boot badge

100mph speedo

Automatic front sub frame

Everything I have for it is listed above.

full photos and videos of the build inc Neville's grinding work . will only be supplied to buyer

I have sat here a few times lately and wrote this advert but then deleted it! but this time its for sale

The rear valance needs fitting and a couple of bits / brackets here and there then its ready to prep for paint

I'm not going to give it away and I know exactly what it owes me, so only interested party's please

£12k which I believe is a very realistic price

This might sound a tidy sum but consider the cost to buy a shell completely rebuild lt with heritage panels / time / travel to France / plus his order books are full for the next 5 plus years / and he's in his 80s / and the only known one that has sold went for 50k or 60k there's still plenty left in this one. my guess would be around 15/20k paying other labour would finish it

Thank you all for reading

Don't let external impressions fool you. Neville is one of the most well read & erudite people I know.

He does look like Compo in that photo though.

That's Neville Trickett, not Clive Trickey.

I don't think Nev has written any books. ..... Yet.
