Supposedly an eBay auction is a legally binding contract for both parties. Since he didn't cancel the sale before it ended he's on the hook to sell it? Contact eBay and get your options, but having said that he has the car not you so will be difficult to enforce a hand over!

Wow, how can they get away with that, as already said, why didn't they just set a reserve ?

If bad feed back is placed then they will just do it to the buyer in return which is grossly unfair.

As far as I can see it reached the market value.

Interestingly, there doesn't seem to be any real comeback if a seller refuses to complete a deal. Your only option seems to be negative FB.

This is a ridiculous state of affairs.

He will be waiting forever to sell that I reckon.

I bid early doors on it but then as said on this thread what the hell do you do with it so stopped when it went above £300. Contacted him via ebay and he quoted the conversation on here so it may be he's on the forum. Didn't he post a mobile number?

At £550 its worth sticking away to think about what you might do with it but at £2k definetly not worth it unless you could get Nick V to supply some drawings of what he envisaged although you would have to have good contacts with him in the first place.

at the end of the day, what exactly could you do with it?

Well the plan was to build a proper cage for it, make a MK6 Lola GT style Ali body and get it IVA'd.

I think I've probably dodged a bullet in the long run but it would have been fun.

you should have bought those metro based chevrons that where on ebay last year - they at least had a bit of heritage!

I did consider the Chevrons but mostly because of the complete turbo lump that could have gone into my '83 Turbo.

An interesting set of wheels, reminiscent of JEX 5
