Its Mark who posted the pics on FB, he got them from a friend in Italy.

Still no news on the car :?: but when you look at the 2 original photos with Enzo & Mini ( s ? ) its clear that a few items is different on the 2 cars/picrures.

So maybe it is his car ? someone said that the no plate/reg no was to be changed, if the car moved to another Council/town.

Has the silver car got a winding window conversion?
Also see Enzo has put some 4.5in wheels on by the 2nd photo. What a lad.

The silver car does look like it has a wind up conversion.

I've had several messages from people who spot differences between the red car and the one(s) on the old pictures. One of the sharper comments was about the front valance: "This Mini has the later type valance, where the real car in the famous picture of Alec and Enzo standing by the Mini, the front valance is of the pre-'64 type, smooth round, and no cut out ventilation for the brakes."

Meanwhile, the photographer - Virginio Bolla - has also called in. And he has been told one theory about the car…

I don't think that anyone can put too much into the exact shape of the front panel as if you look at the shape round the (UK) Drivers side wheel aperture, it looks like the front panel has been replaced to me. The shape is classic for a car that has had a badly fitting front panel forced into position.

one thing that gets me, is that the wipers park on different sides, from the old pic to the "new" pic's

I vaguely remember reading there were two cars - the difference being the style and position of the indicator repeaters. The early car has the repeater a bit further back - an unlikely change to make. Also I cant see the quarter light in the photo of the early car.

This red one looks like the later car with the same wheels too. I know it seems weird but perhaps the chap is telling the truth??!!

I went to Maranello in 1987 and was nosing around the showroom and Enzo came out of a meeting room and nodded as he walked past. Had the sunnies on.

If you look closely at the two cars with Enzo Ferrari in shot they may be two different cars. On the first one with Issigonis I can’t see the seam between the front wing and front panel, but it is definitely there on the car which Enzo is alighting. Also the front panel looks like a later panel with the brake cut outs.
