Good set of photos here of quite a famous tv Mini,
http://imcdb.org/vehicle_300474-Austin-Seven-1963.html

And looks like it was still around in May 2009, when the deceased owners daughter was trying to sell it. Anyone know of it these days? Here's a quote from the post from a login-required forum so can't post link, from May 2009,
Quote:
Hi

I am looking to sell the mk1 mini BAP 245B that appeared in many TV series within the 1960's, with its most famous role being in the Randall and Hopkirk series as Jeannie's mini.
The car was acquired by my father but he unfortunately passed away earlier this year and i am now selling the car. The car itself is in need of restoration as she is in quite a bad way. The car is currently not roadworthy, the drivers door has fallen off as it needs a new A panel, also the floors on drivers and passenger side both need attention. It is the history and heritage that makes this car, with restoration she could be a real asset to someone. If anyone has any enquires please feel to contact me through this website or to email me on pink_frog@hotmail.com, i can also send pictures through email as i am having difficulty attaching them.

Many Thanks,
Natalie.

Didn't it go to "Cars of the Stars" in Cumbria.

If they did buy it, it must be in the process of restoration. It's not on their list at the moment,

I like the modified back bumper.

After reading the other post on overriders, what type is on this car ? is it an export model.

Our family had a 1963 Morris Mini-Minor, and it had overriders on the bumpers too. The Mini above may have been a deluxe or super-deluxe Austin Mini.

But strange looking overriders on the Mini above, the vertical part of them. Maybe aftermarket.

They are normal BMC over riders with rubber after market bump guards fitted.

Deluxes had plain over riders and Coopers and Super Deluxes had the corner bars added. Base models had no over riders.

I seen the car in Devon just before it was up sale, don't think it was it original shell, John Kelly sold it to Dave, I believe it did go to the cars the star place !
