New AEG312 block and the AEG163 heads?

Post by Psmith »

I work for an engineering company in the midlands that has a foundry as part of the group, we also reverse engineer heads and blocks for the defence and marine original Equipment manufacturers and we are considering the viability of reverse engineering the AEG312 block and the AEG163 head if this would be interesting?

Havent got as far as working out pricing as yet but wanted to see if there was enough interest out there?

Thanks for that, if anyone has a head that we could use for initial scanning, a cracked head that has not been ported would be ideal

I think price will be the determinant for interest.

Minispares blocks generated a lot of interest, but once price figures were mentioned It was unattainable for a lot of people so interest reduced.

Various prices have been bandied about. Probably best to wait until it's offered to find out.

I'm looking for an AEG 163 head, how much time do you think it will be to take the head through to production and what do you think it will cost?
