Why Is Some Formula 1 Drivers Allowed To Make Biased Statements

Post by Supersonic »

If this post is not permitted please delete. I’m sick to death watching one driver in particular persistently mouthing about discrimination and inequality.

F1 has lost the plot is my considered view I’m sad to say. :(

I have to say, I was surprised that it was tolerated by both F1 and Mercedes on the podium. Sponsors pay millions to have their brand on display across the world on TV. It seems Lewis is pushing the boundaries like a a stroppy teenager to their parents. They have the end racism demonstration before the start but evidentially, Lewis now feels that is not enough. If it is allowed to continue, we could end up with three drivers pushing their own agendas. It will end in tears.

Stopped watching F1 several years ago due to the boring racing, sad to say from what I have seen in the news recently I haven't missed much...

It will end in tears or maybe worse.
Stopped watching F1 years ago, to many spoiled brats with massive egos
This campaign the that Hamilton and others are promoting is starting to have the a negative effect
You can't watch TV for more than 15 minutes without it being pushed in your face
I'll stop before I get going

Hamilton’s using the platform and influence he’s earned to promote a cause he believes in.

You might not like it but it gets people talking and that’s kind of the point of a protest.

Agree with all of the above, just a bit sad, because Hamilton is such a great driver, one of the best ever, he should concentrate on his job, and forget trying to be a be a multi millionaire activist......in my, very ill informed opinion its getting a bit boring.....and not to mention a bit fookinh patronising...

Boring? The last two F1 races were some of the most interesting I’ve watched in years. Grid completely out of order for the red-flag restarts led to some very close racing and lots of overtaking. Just ignore the two black/silver cars at the front, they aren’t even part of the same race.

Not referring to the racing necessarily, more the opinions of the drivers (driver)......ie just drive the car and shut up.... :D

Vettle's signed up for Aston Martin next year.

Didn't the Ferraris look good in their retro dark red.
