Thank you guys, very helpful (most of you :D )
I've been informed that it's soft drinks only (this is organised by the IAM)

I'll post up a picture or two afterwards.

We've been in there back in the 1990's on a Mini rally from Amsterdam to Monaco. Changed hands/name etc. That night, we were in there filling Durex johnnies with beer and trying to drink it out again.

I would like to ask him about a special BMW he had in the seventies - they built a number of 5 Series saloons with the 3.0 CSL running gear. Paddy had one as did Jonathan Sieff.

Pity there is no red wine involved :) his stories of his friend and neighbour, the comedian Dave Allen are very interesting.

Andy, ask him what he would have wanted British Leyland to have done in motorsports had they decided to keep going.

Edit, not explaining this well..... Had British Leyland stayed in the rallying game, what cars or direction does he think they should have taken?

Stokes did the right thing really - BL could never have competed with the Escort. Shutting down Special Tuning was silly though.

Dave Allen sounds like he was a really nice guy who doted on his wife who had issues and a drink problem, they had no alcohol at all in the house, hence his glass of whisky on stage, the only time he could have a tipple himself.
