Can't say I am thrilled with the response I have had to this very genuine request! A massive thank you to those valiant folks who have stepped up & offered an hour of their time, but these are sadly in a tiny minority!

We have EIGHTY odd cars (And more drivers) booked in over the day & so far we have ELEVEN people who aren't related to Pete or myself prepared to help out marshalling for just 1 hour.

If you can spare just 1 hour to help us out with what could in the future be a deal breaking situation then I'd be very, very pleased to hear from you.

Come on! I’m booked to drive and have volunteered, you’re not going to be on track the entire time.

Well said Oneball.

Anyone attending should be able to spare an hour out of a full day.

If we had 40 odd volunteers it'd only be 30 minutes each!

It's a free event (all proceeds go to charity) run by a free forum.

Is an hour of people's time so hard to give up?

Any costs if stewards have to be paid for will likely have to come out the charity donations (or the usual folks will dip our hands into our own pockets to keep the day as a free event).

If you've ever thought this forum is one of the best on the web (with far fewer numpties than facebook), or the Blyton day is the Mini event of the year, and I know it is for many, then come on, help out!

Mark and Pete put the day on for you. Do a little something for them, if only to say 'thanks' for the 6 previous events and all the free access resources Mark put on the main Mk1 site.

Come on chaps and chapesses (Not sure that's an actual word)

I drive my old 62 pickup ooop north from darkest Sussex, that's just north of Paris for you northern gentleman, every year for the best mini show bar none, pausing only to pick up my brother from Essex. We always book a full track day (optimistic) and usually spend the morning nailing the bits that have fallen off on the journey up back on, my brother and I share the laps and on average we manage 2x3 lap sessions per day each (very optimistic)

This is a charity event and we need to up our game, this is the first time we have put our names down for marshalling, because we are slack southerners and thought we were doing enough by turning up. We were wrong, join me and my brother as first time marshal's (Do we get a badge?)

Ian

I really want a badge.....

Nah, in previous years you probably WERE doing enough :) but now there's a need for a wee bit of a hand.

Going that far in a supercharged pickup wins you a lot of reprieve!
