Now then if the "off topic" section had ever come to fruition it would be a good place to post links like this

No mini's but there is the odd car that has not been seen on these roads for many a year

Odd sort of story though. I assume the tunnel "collapsed" or should I say was judged to be in danger of collapsing only 8 years ago, so most of the cars must have been dumped / stored there long before.

apparently in Liverpool Dingle railway station

More on it here, snipped from another forum, looks like this would be before the collapse .

Many years ago (over 40) answered an add in Motoring news for a V6 Ford engine and box to fit in my Mk2 Cortina estate , set off from London to Liverpool early one Sunday morning and the guys address was the tunnels . Very steep slope to get down to the tunnel by car but it was a strange place . Loads of room and lots of fords being broken up down there . Forgot all about it until I saw this thread .

That's Dingwall Tunnel in Liverpool. Various threads and report have been posted about this place on the web for the last 10 years.

Here's one showing a 1275GT from Retro Rides from 2010

http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/89630

and another from 2016

http://www.technocrazed.com/explore-the ... -liverpool

It was used by a garage to store customer cars and projects, hence why there are a few classics down there

PS I took a while finding the info hence why I have created an echo of Nicks post in here (pun intended)

Here's a shot of the GT

Poor thing doesn't look too bad, they look like proper Dunlop Denovo 'safety wheels' as well, probably only the paint holding it together now though
