non cooper/ cooper S publication???

Post by rich080487 »

Morning,

I am restoring my 65 SDL, it will not be a concours car, but I would at least like to make the right decisions when rebuilding where possible.
The Parnell book is obviously recommended for cooper and cooper s cars, but is there anything similar out there for other models?

As always, any help appreciated.
Thanks, Rich

"Factory-Original Mini Mk1 & Mk2" is pretty decent.

This is exactly what you are looking for. A fantastically detailed book.

Have to agree with the above, an accurate book on all Mk1 and Mk2 Cooper / Austin / Morris / Moke / Wolseley Hornet / Riley Elf / Van / Pick-Up / and Estate cars. Well worth having for sure. It is nice to see someone restore an ordinary Mini which is now much rarer than the Cooper variants without question. :D

The F plate Mk3 Hornet in that book was the car my father in law restored a few years ago with help from me and painted by my Dad.

Hi Rich, I have a totally unrestored late 64SDL which I am using as a reference car and another 66 one which is on the road and a bit of a time warp too.

Always happy to take pics if anything specific needed ;-)
