I have in my garage a 2A629 head that came from a 1960 Mini 850, it's modified mildly, ported, polished etc, it still has ridiculously tiny valves and it has a stamping that says "DM4OO", any ideas on this?

I don't really know how he marked heads, or even if he did road going stuff.
I'd love it to a Don Moore, I've cleaned it up a bit and the stamping is really quite poor, I think it might say DM408 or 4088.
I don't actually have any small bore engines so am going to part with it, it doesn't owe me much so won't need to be expensive.

Don Moore certainly did do road engines as well as Race engines.

I'm not saying it IS one of his heads, it was merely a suggestion.

seeing the Invoice there for D.M. Ross, the final drive would be for his COX or possibly his Landar, though I think that was a bit later.
