I can't agree with Odball on this one. I have owned & / or driven many, many Minis & there is no nicer road Mini to drive than a nice tidy 1071 in more or less standard trim. The balance between performance & lack of fuss was never better than with this super smooth A Series unit.

I would happily swap a 1275 for a similar 1071 any day.

Sadly, finding a project like Jbz's is a very, very rare opportunity nowadays.

Looks a great project. Looking forward to a project thread on this one :)

I really must try to prise the 1071 out of a certain place next year - has possibly been there for nearly 50 years !!
