I am pleased to be able to confirm our 7th Action day will be held on the 3rd of May 2020.

A range of booking options are available on the following basis;

Full day (One car) - £149.00
Half day (Morning, One Car) - £79
Half day (Afternoon, One car) - £89

2 track Layouts in one day! Outer Circuit Morning - Eastern Circuit Afternoon!

As usual there will be something happening on Saturday night, details of which will be announced as soon as we know them.

Our date is 100% confirmed, but the booking line will only open about 8 weeks before the event. I will give all members here plenty of warning before it does.

If you have any queries, please don't hesitate to PM me or Pete, or check out the Blyton info page on the main site;

Half day booking is a good idea to let more take part.

liking the idea of the split definitely makes it more interesting.

With regards to offering half day. Problem i could see and would put me off personally.

If only a half day was available. I could see people who travel a long distance for the event being put off.
How will it be decided how the slots are available ? will it be
Full day then 1/2 a day to fill the event?
or First come first serve?

If its limited numbers and its free for all i could see there still being half day slots left, was it fully booked last year?

Last year day one was over subscribed, where as day two, a day that it "looked like" there was a lot of demand for, was a total washout. It made a crushing loss. We were not prepared to risk running a two day event again, as Pete & I would have been expected to underwrite the day from our own pockets. This is something that neither of us are prepared to do. Whenever we have tried to run 2 days there just hasn't been the support to justify doing it.

The idea behind offering full day as before as well as 1/2 days is to give as many people as possible the chance to get some track time in & also participate in the more social aspects of the day if they want to. Speaking for myself, I have bought a full day every year we have run Blyton & last year I did 4 laps all day, the year before I did ZERO. I was far too busy doing other stuff. I know that many other people have had a similar experience. Offering 1/2 days is a way of resolving this issue.

Full days & half days will be offered on a first come first served basis, with a maximum of about 60 cars per session as has been the case in previous years.

I'm hopefully going to make a reappearance this year! :)

Just need to keep an eye on booking opening up for once.

I certainly only want full day, but half day works great for a lot of the cars as the track was usually pretty empty when I came last time. (as I can just bomb round all day :lol: )

:( Shame about day 2 not working out, would be good if a timed runs (sprint series) format or something was possible for a second day to vary it up. Maybe an idea for a few years time when the hurt has worn off a bit.
