I guess it could be a European market car that was imported privately to Florida at a later date. A heritage cert might provide a more definitive identification.

As with everything from ‘Bobby bullshit’ best to judge the car on the photos, not the description :)

Mk2 minis were offered for sale in the USA. Mine was built December 5 1967,despatched January 8 1968.

I remember seeing them for sale at the dealers when new.

MiniMania (USA)
"the factory never exported to the U.S. anything but the Mk Is and pre-1968 built Mk IIs."
https://www.minimania.com/Mini_Identification_1807

"Between 1960 and 1967, BMC exported about 10,000 left-hand drive BMC Minis to the United States.
The Mini was withdrawn from the American market in 1968 because it could not meet newer U.S. safety regulations and emission standards."

I stand corrected. Guess they slipped as many ‘1967 built’ through as they could :)

You couldn't make it up. . .

Bob said: “I have had all the famous people; including John Lennon’s Mini. I bought the car off his cleaner. It was a Rodfords – Aston Martin interior…. it was a special car. it was mine for £150!

“When he went to America he left the cleaner his car and it had his signature in the log book and everything.

“But I sold it seven weeks before he got shot for £500, I couldn’t believe it.”

Oh, wait a minute, yes you could.

Remember his monica before Rolex Bob ... seems quite apt

Just noted that the car has one of those all important originality features that Rich loves so much ... the upside-down door card
