I'm just disappointed Mel Gibson didn't appear on horseback demanding FREEDOM at some point, if you're going to massage history you may as well do it properly

Try being a ww2 armchair expert-films like the Dunkirk remake will drive you insane!!
Only decent ww2 thing made for a very long time is Band of Brothers.
All the inaccuracies in other stuff makes my fucking teeth itch!!
I’m no expert on the ford v Ferrari thing, but fans of Le Mans would not be as disappointed as I was with the 2017 Dunkirk film-what a load of utter tosh...
Darkest Hour wasn’t much better...

Hey, it's just a film made to entertain the masses. It's not supposed to be an accurate depiction of history.

Unfortunately the masses come away believing it to be true, and look where that's getting us now.
It's like what my painter friend Donald said to me
"Stick a fork in their ass and turn them over, they're done"

I have some anorak-ish knowledge about the actual race and was much-biassed towards the movie, but actually found it most entertaining and really enjoyed it!

Bit after 66 but this is my iteration of a 917 that I have scratch built, 3.4lt engine and trans from a Cayman S, spaceframe and done all the bucks/molds myself, uprights, suspension etc etc
