Any forumers got any good mini jobs on the go this weekend.
For my part I'm rebuilding a couple of hydro rear radius/swinging arms for a friend of a friend from Witney 80% through a full resto with loads of new-in-white panels Heritage panels 'sourced locally' as he tells me. Full treatment to the arms....., bushes, bearings, reaming modified shafts for direct-to-bearing grease points at either end and helper spring anchor stubs. SO much easier when the old stuff has been dunked in paraffin for a week, Just been power hosed, drying off and squeaky clean. Rear underside already painted so newly rebuilt subframe can replace slave

Anyone got anything else on the go?

That reminds me doc...... Wifey cam in and found newly cleaned Norton Commando Amals laid out on dining room table. Table covered with thick newspaper and cloth of course. The usual abuse and expletives followed when she saw them. Until I explained that they were all perfectly clean as I'd scrubbed them in the sink and washing up bowl using the dish scrubber......... Sometimes you just can't win!

Taking the gold Mk3 Cosmics off WMU ready for the newly refurbished second set (in German grey) to go on in time for Stanford Hall. It's booked in for a suspension tweak the day after at my local garage too.

The other job I need to do is...…. buy another Mk1, I've really got the itch again and need to scratch it badly ;)

Change the steering wheel in my mk3 from
an 15" dished wooden Formula for an 14"
flat wooden Speedy steering wheel with a
spacer so the distance will be the same.
This one is more 1973 and feels better
when taking corners and roundabouts.

Kees.
