XAD1 is the start of a Mk3 S chassis number. Any pics?

Brian, that seems to be a very late Mk3 chassis number :)

Hi Brian
According to John Parnell`s book the first Mk3S chassis number was XAD1/34127A (March 1970) and the last was XAD1/458987A (June 1971)
Have you got any further information such as the commission number, here again according to Parnell`s book the first commission number was N20D/101A and the last was N20D/1668A.
The body numbers for a Mk3S begin with B20D and the engine numbers are 12H-397-F or 12H-398-F.
Hope this is of some help.

Can someone clarify and enlighten me on this subject. In regards to Mk3 Cooper S chassis numbers I’ve never seen a genuine car that did not have XADI & Six numbers) finishing with A. I don’t understand John's records :?

I have sourced photos of the chassis plate and English reg papers from the Norwegian gov motor dept when the car was imported into Norway in 2009. It clearly shows XAD1/114006A.Is this an S ? regard Brian.

It would appear to be but there would be more certainty if you could obtain the other details mentioned in my previous post.
Are you able to get any photos of the car?

XAD 1114006A = XAD1/114006A?
This is unlikely to be a 1971 car
