18g1068 churchill puller

Hi I have a Churchill 18g168 puller that is missing its two little moon washers

I am hoping someone may have some spare i could purchase or could measure there ones so i can make a set

pic below of what the puller looks like

There is a typo in the description, 18G1068 is for replacing the oil seal on a auto box.

This is a dual use tool that pushes in the crankshaft oil seal to the flywheel housing. I think it’s really important to keep the seal square and to the correct depth.
Used with the half moon pieces however it doubles up as a seal remover. It drags out the primary gear and therefore the seal comes with it.
It enables seal replacement without removing the housing and, more importantly, with the engine in the car.

I’ve not got the half moon pieces for mine either but I have a different tool that does the same job.

It looks to me like it's a bit of a universal (within reason!) puller for all sorts. It looks like a pretty simple lathe operation to turn up any size of collars you're likely to need. Make them circular and slice in half diagonally.

Yes its a primary seal puller and installation tool, both auto and manual.

I have numerous tools to put in and remove the seals.

I however as you do I collect Churchill and mini related tools and I brought this tool many years ago and finally spent some time de rusting and getting it cleaned up.
I can make up the half moons easily enough but i wouldn't mind some original ones.

It's only universal in that the inserts acan be changed between different models - it only does GiS primary gear seals, but will do them on A-Series, E-Series etc.

There’s a Sykes Pickavant kit on eBay at the moment which has the inserted, puller and a flywheel puller.
