I recently found this colour list that shows the Mk2 S being available in Mk3 colours. Note that they came with a black interior only. also the 1275GT was initially only available with a black interior.

I also have a December 1969 price list showing that the Mk2 Mini and Clubman models were available at the same time prior to the Mk3 being available.

Very late 1969 to early 1970. According to aronline.co.uk the last Mk2 S was produced on the 23rd February 1970.

Quote:
Although the Mk3 was announced in October 1969, the only cars to have escape Longbridge before 1970 were for press use only; for the last Austin and Morris Mini Mk2s weren’t manufactured until December 1969 – and the last Mk2 Cooper S was completed on the 23 February 1970.

an aqua mk2 s would be a nice thing

I bet you would get sick to death of anoraks telling you that it was wrong.....

when I had my monotone white mk1 cooper I ended up spraying the roof black when I sold it as I got sick of the people who had skimmed through the parnell book telling me that it was wrong

sprayed the roof black - sold it the same week

Seen a couple of those, well one 998 and one 1275 S in Aqua.

Years ago I knew of a Snowberry white H registered Clubman, complete with red trim and the slimline Elf/Hornet doorhandles.

Three mk2 'S' snapped in the eighties at Nether Green in Sheffield.

PDW finished in original monotone aqua, build date week 43 1969, sadly no longer with us, car scrapped in the nineties.

Nick :)

I drove past that garage most days for a couple of years in the 70s, the guy that owned it had a Broadspeed GT I also remember seeing EWA172H, they usually had interesting cars in the workshop.
I wonder if they still have the GT?
