Regarding the photographer;

Every previous year (apart from 1) Blyton have had a photographer on site who has offered a CD of "all" the pics of any given car for £40 or so. Most years he has sold pics to a pretty decent number of competitors.

This year we would have had to pay £300 up front for him to attend THEN pay £40 or so each on the usual basis. It was me who said we didn't want a professional photographer as I didn't feel the £300 up front charge was either fair or necessary. To get the photographer to attend would have involved me trying to ask participants to put their hand in their pocket AGAIN, or for me to stump up the £300 myself. I didn't think either were sensible options, so I said his services weren't required.

I still think I made the correct decision.

On his terms I agree with you. I have made a point of buying a CD every year to support him coming despite it being the same car, same drivers, same track!
