the only place ive eaten in Selkirk is the best western, philipburn. A wigton motor club tour had it as a lunch halt, was nice, sarnies, soup and coffee laid on, decent size carpark for 50 cars etc.

I am pleased to announce that the road book for the inaugural MK1 Performance Conversions Non Competitive Road Run is now available.

This really is shaping up to be a super weekend!

I know that there are loads of events this year & that everyone's calendars are already bulging, but I cannot stress highly enough what a super event I believe this will be.

So if you have been thinking about joining us, but haven't taken the plunge yet, have a look at the superb route that Al has arranged for us & I am sure that it will make your mind up for you. Places on the road run & at the hotel are still available. Don't leave it too late.

You can download the route book here;

I've just spoken with Becky at the Tontine, and they still have some rooms available.

If you do book, remember to mention that you are part of the MK1 mini group.

Cheers,

Al

Current count is 7 confirmed cars, (and a couple more possibles), with 11 drivers / passengers, with all coming for the meal, of which 6 people staying at the Tontine, so still room to join in if Blyton has whetted your appetite for the best events!

A nice mix of cars so far too, Minis and a couple of ADO16s.

Woo Hoo!

2 1300's! I assume mine is one of them, all I need to do is get the wheel bearings replaced after Adam's antics at the weekend.

Den & I are really looking forward to this, a proper social weekend as opposed to freezing my tits off in the back of my van.

As Al says, still room for more if you fancy joining us.

Well, Adam managed to put a couple of hundred un-eventful miles on the 1300 this week after rebuilding the brakes & bearings last week, so Denise & I are now officially ready for the 1st MK1 Perf Cons road run.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else at the Tontine on Saturday 25th.

Ha, ha, It wasn't that difficult really. A pair of front wheel bearings & one rear drum (stolen of Rich's 1300) But as he doesn't post anymore, what he doesn't know won't hurt him

All sorted in 1 evening.

It could do with a couple of new disks & pads, & the calipers going through, but it still stops fine & all that can wait for another day.
