The drain pipe was indeed useless, that's why it was deleted on later models.

Agreed it might not be particularly practical but it should be there so I will fit one. Copper slip the nipple and it will come out if necessary. ;)

Could say the same about the slinging shoe brackets in the sills .... totally useless but I like to put them there - a sign of attention to detail :)

Here’s what’s the blanking plug looks like :D
It’s actually brass and came out quite well with an easy out .
The plug looks the proper job so obviously nothing to do with BMC :lol: :lol:
