Think it was somewhere in Minimans 1960 California build thread he mentions making the splines.
Here somewhere: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15270

Sounds like an excellent plan!

I look forward to seeing the results.

I think it's the cheap Mountney bosses which are easy to turn down to just leave the splined bit and a flat disk which you can then drill to suit.

Might work?

Spookily enough swede I had thought of using an old column and facing the spline edge to a slight positive rake and whacking it through on a fly press to create the splines but thought nigh on my luck it would be a success on a dummy run and probably tear like crap when I done it on a completed boss  .
Fortunately I only paid 26 quid on eBay for the large moto-lita one I now have so felt that a more reliable way to go and can keep it all one piece .
Looks like it’s not too daming within the community for me to do this so think I will go ahead and try and find the time to do it before end of year .
Cheers and thanks for all your feedback chaps :D
