What a star, was he a very late 50's star or early 60's star? In my book a british super star. I remember his classic song teenager in love. God what a lovely period, love to do it all again :D :D

Then just sit back this evening, get a large glass of Scotch, tune into YouTube and listen to him singing SEA OF LOVE.

Kim for me too I hasten to say but just so that you realise how good her dad was, when you've got a few minutes between those winter jobs on the Mini, close your eyes and listen to him singing Sea of Love. Pure pleasure............

I don't know how old he is (or even daughter....) but wasn't there a bit of a kerfuffle when he wouldn't do/refused National Service?

Sea of Love was written by Phil Phillips and recorded in 1959

Sea Of Love - Phil Phillips & The Twilights 1959, the original version is more Doo-Whop than Brit Pop. This is the version that was used in the 1989 film Sea of Love starring Al Pachino

By the way, my favourite voice from the '50s is Elvis on his Sun recordings.
