You know how you keep talking about 'choke' and 'throttle' dear........ that's just given me an idea......

Off at a tangent..... Went to see a bloke one evening, lovely house in Sutton Courtenay overlooking the countryside. In his lounge I could see a glass brick wall almost hidden behind some curtains and what looked to be a motor bike glittering in the semi darkness. Being a biker - and hoping to see a Norton - I asked him what it was I thought I could see. Without saying another word he turned the lights on, drew back the curtain and there, behind the glass brick wall, in his garage like it was in the lounge was a gleaming, like new, restored Triumph Bonneville. Absolutely made my day. I did mention this nice treat to wifey when I got home......

Dunno why, but that reminded me of how my wife and myself started out in our lives together. We had no money at all, we'd just bought (read: Taken out a mortgage) our first house, it was very run down, built in 1916 and had no maintenance since, but all we could afford (barely). The second bedroom and part of the living room was parts storage and workshop.

I wish she'd stop that clickty-clack with those needles as I need to do the tappets soon.

If anyone has/finds any amusing pictures just add it to the thread.

A good friend has been storing such a piece of 'transportation art' in his living room for around a decade. Surprisingly, he's not married..
