Only recently discovered this film, on my son's Netflix - this being an invention that allows you watch a whole assortment of trashy TV but with the occasional gem.

1965, starring Terence Stamp and Samatha Eggar, he collects butterflies and after a pools win leaves his job as a banker, buys a remote house and decides to collect himself a young art student as a friend, locking her in the basement.

The beginning of the film sees Terence driving around London following his victim, with scores of minis on the road and even a car showroom. Alas I could only find the trailer on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oTFGi3ppnI.

Great, thanks for the Vimeo link Mark.

Irritatingly, "The Collector" isn't streaming in the U.S. on Netflix...

The IMCDB (Internet Movie Cars Database), which I'm a long time member of, list the primary vehicles seen throughout the film: http://www.imcdb.org/movie_59043-The-Collector.html
