I used a handheld Draper SAE flaring tool to make up all the hard lines for my 850 restoration. I reckon it was great value at about $98 AUD posted from UK to Australia. I also invested in a ratchet ring spanner the correct size (16mm from memory) for the die nut as it made it much easier and quicker to use. Also use plenty of good quality rubber grease to lubricate everything and you will get consistently good flares.

Previously I had tried a Blue Point (Snap On's budget brand) equivalent and it was useless. Hard to use and the flare it formed was the wrong shape. I got rid of it in disgust.
