Haha! Only kidding Nidge! Mind you, I didn't realise just how serious some people take the Paul is dead theory! I agree though, the car is much more interesting now we know its had a chequered past as well as being owned and loved by Macca and part of the most fantastic band in music history! Imagine the conversations that have taken place in it! It would be great to get Paul together with the car much like he did in Liverpool with James Corden.

If only that car and the other three Cooper Ss could talk... there were definitely many, many occasions when all four Beatles would have been in Macca's car at the same time, often as not they would all convene at his gaff in Cavendish Avenue before tootling round to Abbey Road for a night session in the '66 to '69 period, as well as going straight from Weybridge and Esher to Abbey Road in thier own cars of course. As well as the Aston DB6 he must have used the Radford lamost daily, which probably explains why there are no known photos of him using the Lamborghini 400GT which he bought brand new in '67, the first RHD example in the UK (I'm not sure how long he kept it though).

I’ve been asked a few questions by someone looking to buy this, like what happened to the UK registration document, ie there isn’t a copy with the car which might affect its re-registration IF or when it comes back to the UK! I’ve certainly come across a few similar cars to this in my time where the previous owner/ seller / exporter has kept / nicked the old logbook (as the seller of the Peter Harrison Radford tried to do when it was auctioned !) which forms such a big part of the provenance of a car like this. If anyone finds out what this car sold for before I do can you please post it here?!

Wow! I didn’t think it would go for that much, that’s about £185,000. Is that a record for a Cooper S? And it still needs £20k spent on it to bring it up to standard and to correct the detail.
