Wouldn't it be grand and rather fitting if Macca did buy it back and kept at at Cavendish Avenue, just like he did all those years ago...

Shocking aren't they. Love the rest of the car and the colours are ace. Why no Cosmics???

I remember seeing this car sitting in Dick Nickerson's machine shop/warehouse in about 1975.
It was still on comics and very rusty around the seams.

$150,000

Not even close, in my opinion.

Lennon's psychedelic Rolls Royce sold for $2.9M and that was in 1985 (and the value of Rock memorabilia has skyrocketed since then). Given this car's immaculate provenance and photo documentation - plus the fact that Paul drove this car daily during much of the Beatles era - I think it's got to bring $1M or more. Just a guess though..

The value is in the name on the original registration document that creates the price hike.

McCartneys Aston Martin sold for £1.3M recently...

This McCartney tour of Liverpool with James Corden in a Range Rover is well worth a watch if you have not seen it yet:-

Ringo's Hooper hatchback recently went for just over £100K , which is reasonably original. I think this one will go for more but not more than double I don't think. It is a Mini after all!! The Cosmics are missing just cos the current owner didn't want to refit a set, despite Nick R offering him some. The underbonnet detailing is pretty poor and will probably need the engine out to sort the black(?) painted bulkhead and that black painted lower front panel is odd. iconic car though, the Beatles did all their best stuff whilst Macca was riding around in this Mini. There's pictures of Lennon in it and even Linda driving it, and Jane Asher of course. Makes you wonder who else got into this Mini?? Don't think he sold it until the early 70s, can anyone confirm??

It would be good if he did buy it back, or at least get somehow involved with it. Macca does appear to be quite nostalgic these days 8-)
