i think that was the 'stunt car' as well

it might also have been painted red at some time

the owner occasionally came to work in it, it was a proper BOBFOC

needless to say, i loved it

Rich you seem to be a real Heartbeat saddo

Next thing you'll be telling us you spent the day there then caught the old train down to Whitby

Heartbeat asked of they could borrow mine too. But I had to get it to them for the duration of that bit of filming - and collect it and for (I seem to recall) £23 a day. They did remind me of the publicity that it'd get. I was more interested in the money than the publicity. Alas, even then £23 a day didn't rattle my tin!

That's odd, because both times they had mine they covered transport both ways & paid a very good day rate.

I had my leg lifted first time by an agent, but second time I got about £600 for a week or so.

It certainly came in handy :)

In the 90's I new the chap who had the company that supplied the cars for Heartbeat - had a shed full of cars that would be changed to suit whatever was required, most were half knackered. Used to see the mini van around quite a bit. He sold the company and bought a hotel instead !

Had Lisa's super on Heartbeat - I think we got a £100 for the day and some really good food, and then the midget on Emmerdale

Had a similar experience with an agent but the upside was seeing the presenter trying to deal with a fly-off handbrake. In the end they filmed me driving the car but it was for a pilot based on the Italian Job coach scene. Cost the production company a lot of money as the coach fell off the cliff and damaged the VERY expensive cameras at the foot of the cliff. I enjoyed myself except for spending days cleaning the car afterwards.
No Cliff was damaged in the filming!
