Thought it might be an idea for a thread to introduce yourself if you are heading to MME next week in New Paltz, NY (USA), and want to meet up with other members.

I will be driving up on Tuesday in my 2015 MINI Cooper S from Boston, but hoping to bring my Morris 1967 Cooper S along if I can get a flat towing frame installed on the MINI in time...

Look for a British guy sitting alone in the corner of the hotel/bar. I'll be there tue/wed/thur, come say Hi :)

Iain Barker

ps. the 'TARDIS' 1966 woody traveller in the photo belongs to a friend, not mine.

Made it flat towing the 220 or so miles :)

Good to meet up with Zach Barbera, Jim Lyons and Nick Rogers at the show today.

yes, good to see you again Iain! And to meet you finally Nick!

And I still can't get over the coincidence of one of the two Inno 1300s that were there needing a heater! I only brought it as an afterthought figuring what can it hurt :)

I really want to get over to one of the big Mini meets in the States, too late this year, but maybe next :)

Hope you all have a great time.

MME2018 was a fantastically well run event, especially considering it's always done by a different host club each year with no professional events experience. It was my first non-local show, and I met some great people with tales to tell.

Winners of the Mk1/Mk2 class were both from Gary Daniels (MINI of Allentown PA) collection, a replica of the 1967 Monte works car LBL6D, and a gorgeous yellow Speedwell.

Next year is a combined "East meets West" in Colorado, so would be a good one to aim for. Last week of June I think...

I don't but here are some another attendee put on Facebook.

I got chatting with the owner just before I headed home, he said it should be very familiar to you :)

Glad to hear it is still going strong!
