Mechanically Carabus is the nicest HB as you can open it with one finger. (1#)

Aesthetically the All steel HB built between late 65 to the end of 66 is the nicest as the look of the car is unchanged.(3 prototypes and 9 std steel )

The 67/8 all ali HB is probably the best bit of coachbuilding on the HB as it is a one piece ali skin on a one piece Ali frame which is piece of art. (4#)

The most cost effective would be the fibreglass one of late 68 on, moulded from the Ali HB. (3#)

Have you got any idea what their reasoning for moving the bottom to the hatch up on the latter iterations was?

The all aluminium hatch is a lovely piece of work but I’ve always thought that shut line across the centre of the rear lights looked rather unfortunate.

it does look a bit like the designer had just been given a new ruler for his birthday and was determined to use it!
