Does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy new dash vinyl. A long while ago bought some from Somerford which was perfect, I seem to remember only buying the vinyl for the lower dash rail but now it seems I need to buy the whole kit just for that one piece. Does anywhere else sell just the bottom section...

Hi

Are you thinking of recovering a padded lower dash rail as fitted to Cooper's etc.

The MK1 lower dash rail was not padded.

Sorry I was thinking MK2, as I have see many poor attempts at covering the rigid vinyl padded rails with soft vinyl, all of which looked a mess.

The early Coopers did have a padded dashrail, yet discontinued somewhere in 63

I've just bought some from minispares, I found it difficult to find on their website though. They say two pieces are needed to cover upper and lower rails, I only bought one as I'm only recovering top rail and A pillars.

I'm dreading doing mine as I've never done it before, any chance of making a video showing how it's done?
