Looks like the Thistle Run is likely to be based much further north this coming year, so that's much less of an issue. (Won't be confirmed 'till the 'Clan' AGM in October)

I thought the Clan cycled through their route every 4 years, so by that reckoning they should be doing the Blair Drumond Safari Park to Fort William route.

Yup, that's what they've told me. Nicely further up the country from us.

Looking forward to the confirmation as i really enjoyed that one, although the end destination was a bit drab!!
Maybe combine it with a few days in the area :)

I'm fortunate that other events i do cover the scottish borders and its a short jump up the road if i fancy some touring in the area (like i have time   !!!)

I've had it 'confirmed', but it'll be 'officially confirmed' after the AGM.

Making steady progress on the boring details on this basis

Just bringing this thread back up to the top really, with Mark having updated the events list.

I've been in contact with the Police, but I've decided to wait to speak to the council nearer the time to see if they plan to dig up any of the roads that weekend.....

I've had some discussions with one of the hotels in Peebles to see if they have plenty rooms and whether they can accomodate a decent number for food on the Saturday night. If they can (should know by mid week) I'll put their details up ASAP so folk can book, or else sort out airbnbs etc.

The road book is pretty much finalised, so should be able to share it soon too.

It's all coming together...... I think!

Cheers,

Al

Great update Al.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Please organise some decent weather though as I only have a roofless Moke working at the moment.

Will do, as I'm sure Kev will have 'mine' ready in time too....

Failing that, I'll likely be in the modern and shall taunt you with my heated seats.

I assume this is still a road "tour" event, accessible by all asthmatic old 850s, and not a fast road tour for the competition inclined members?
