Just weighing up whether to start my 1980 1275GT for a light (?) restoration.
I am not very familiar with the details/intricacies of these motors and wondered if there is a register that is any good. Looking primarily to return to original spec and want good reference material.
Cheers. Mark

The Mini Cooper Register has a 1275GT Register and a feature in each monthly edition of their CooperWorld magazine.

There's a few knowledgable lads restoring cars on the GT Facebook group... and on here probably!

A GT page on here would be a good idea.

I wouldn't be keen on a dedicated GT section, for the usual reasons I have stated previously. HOWEVER Gt's are very welcome & any questions regarding them are welcome in the appropriate sections. General, Technical etc.

There is also a large amount of GT info on the Main MK1 site.

July 1979 brochure. This was the final brochure for the GT. Note that much of the external trim was black by this time, arches, mirrors etc. Deck chair or plain velour could be specified.
