Sept 67 MK1 s

Post by 360gts »

Anyone on here who owns a Sept built MK1 S??? Still puzzled about the rear quarter windows...seems like some have the MK2 style and some don't!!

I think you would be correct in your assumption. A friend of mine has an August 1967 built Cooper 'S'. It has the MK2 quarter windows with the 2 clips rather than the piano hinges. Remember that this is the time period when the Mk1 was just starting to change to Mk2.

we now know of two early (April) cars with MK2 rear quarter windows.....this is quite early....thought the change was slowly introduced around July...ish! Interested in finding out if any Sept cars still had the piano hinges installed.
Not a big issue but still important for those the late MK1 cars.
